i have found my new place to go on super hot city weekends in the city - brighton beach! it only costs $2 (unless you have an unlimited pass) on the Q train. the nice part about the ride is the 2nd half of it is above ground so you can look out the window and remember that it's sunny out (hard to do when you are underground). the beach was PACKED as any nyc beach would be, but there was something really relaxed about it. next time i want to go back and check out some of those amazing russian restaurants on the boardwalk. stay tuned.
